Privacy PolicyTerms of ServiceNotice to parentsContact us

Argo Brothers Inc. ("ArgoLearn," "we," or "us") operates argolearn.com, a K–8 learning service for schools and families. This policy covers adult accounts, managed learner accounts, and visitors to this website. ArgoLearn is currently intended for users in the United States. This policy does not cover other ArgoPrep websites or stores.

1. Information we collect and why

InformationSource and purpose
Adult name, email address, parent/teacher account selection, authentication information, and adult declarationsProvided during signup and account management; used to establish and secure the account, manage learners, and send account and security messages. If you choose Google sign-in, Google supplies your account identifier and basic profile information, including your name, email, and profile picture if supplied.
Learner name or nickname, username, grade and subject levels, login information, selected avatar, settings, and connection to a managing adultProvided by the adult or selected in the account; used to sign the learner in, provide the assigned learning content, and let the authorized adult manage the account.
Lesson activity, video progress, answers, scores, attempts, saved writing and drawings, worksheet submissions, teacher/parent feedback, and game and reward progressCreated as the service is used; used to save work, resume activities, provide feedback, award learning rewards, and show progress to the learner and authorized adult.
IP address, browser and device information, request and sign-in times, session identifiers, and error and security recordsCollected by the service and its infrastructure providers to deliver pages and videos, maintain sessions, diagnose failures, and prevent unauthorized access and abuse.
Support correspondence and account-support recordsProvided when you contact us or generated when support staff assist you; used to answer requests, recover access, and document support and security actions.

Learners do not need a personal email address. We do not ask them for a home address, telephone number, date of birth, precise location, photograph, or voice recording. A learner can nevertheless include personal information in a written answer or drawing; please avoid including information unrelated to the activity.

The service does not provide public learner profiles, public posting, or student-to-student chat. We do not sell or rent personal information or use learner information for advertising or commercial profiles unrelated to learning.

Ask ArgoLearn is optional automated website help for parents and teachers. It does not require a name, email address, or account. Your question and a short recent conversation are sent to OpenAI to generate an answer. Quick-question buttons use prepared answers without sending them to OpenAI. Please do not include passwords, payment details, or children’s personal information. The chat cannot access your account or saved learner work.

2. Who receives information

An authorized parent or teacher can view and manage information for learners in their learning space, including saved work and progress. Authorized ArgoLearn personnel may access information needed to provide support, maintain the service, and protect accounts.

We use these providers:

ProviderRole and information involved
VercelHosts and delivers the website; processes requests and associated technical and security information.
SupabaseProvides authentication, databases, and file delivery; processes adult and learner account information and saved learning data.
VimeoStreams embedded lesson videos; receives technical playback information, such as IP address, browser information, and the referring page. We do not send learner profile fields or saved schoolwork to Vimeo.
ResendDelivers account and security emails to adults; processes the recipient address, message, and delivery records.
GoogleProvides optional adult sign-in; processes the sign-in request and returns identity information needed to connect the adult account. Learners are not required to use Google sign-in.
StripeProcesses adult subscription payments and billing details. We send the adult account email and an opaque account reference, not learner names or saved schoolwork. Card details are entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout; ArgoLearn stores payment references and subscription status, not full card numbers.
OpenAIGenerates answers to adult website-help questions. Receives the question, recent chat context, and public product information. We do not connect it to learner records. API content is not used to train OpenAI models by default.

Our application database is hosted in the United States. Our providers may process information in other locations where they operate.

These disclosures support the features described above. We may also disclose limited information when legally required or necessary to address fraud, unauthorized access, or a threat to someone's safety, subject to applicable protections for children's and school information.

Argo Brothers Inc. is the contact for questions about the collection and use of information through ArgoLearn, including these providers. See Section 8.

3. Children's and school information

ArgoLearn includes services directed to children under 13. An adult creates each learner account. COPPA requires appropriate notice and verifiable parental consent before collecting, using, or disclosing a child's personal information, unless a permitted exception applies. An authorized school may provide consent for collection and use solely for a school-authorized educational purpose; that authorization does not permit unrelated commercial use.

For family accounts, we send a direct notice to the parent’s verified email address. The parent opens a private link, reviews the notice, and confirms that they are the parent or legal guardian and give permission. We send a separate follow-up email about 24 hours later with the notice and withdrawal instructions. Pending requests expire after seven days. A parent can withdraw permission through Parent permission, stopping learner access, and can separately delete the learner from their account. An adult signup checkbox by itself does not complete this process.

We do not require more information from a child than is reasonably necessary for the learning activity. We use school-provided student information to deliver and support the school's educational service, subject to the school's lawful instructions and any applicable school agreement. We do not use it for advertising or unrelated commercial purposes.

Parents may ask to review or receive a copy of their child's information, correct it, have it deleted, or refuse further collection or use. Contact us using Section 8. We verify the requester's identity and authority before disclosing or changing a child's information. For school-managed accounts, we coordinate requests with the school; a parent may also contact us directly. Refusing information needed to operate a learner account may prevent continued use of that account.

4. Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies and browser storage to keep users signed in, complete account verification and recovery, remember a student username or selected learner, preserve activity state, and remember sound and other preferences. You can clear or block these through your browser, but some features may stop working.

Lesson videos use Vimeo's Do Not Track player setting. That setting limits Vimeo analytics and nonessential cookies; Vimeo can still process playback requests and use necessary cookies. Cookies already present from a separate Vimeo visit may also be sent to Vimeo. We do not install advertising pixels or use cross-site targeted advertising on ArgoLearn. Browser Do Not Track signals do not change the necessary processing described here.

Opening website help sets a necessary, signed browser cookie lasting up to 24 hours to prevent abuse. The conversation stays in the current page’s memory and clears when you reload or leave. It is not saved to your account.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep account and learning information to operate the requested account and preserve learning progress. The following deletion rules apply:

RecordRetention and deletion
Learner account and saved learning workDeleted from the active application database immediately when the authorized adult completes learner or account deletion. There is no recovery period in the active app.
Inactive learner accountsDeleted after 24 months without activity in the learning space. We email the managing adult at least 30 days before deletion. Activity by the adult or a learner in that space cancels the scheduled deletion and restarts the inactivity period. The adult account remains available.
Pending parental-permission requestExpires and is removed after seven days if not confirmed. This does not delete an independently requested adult account.
Consent and Terms recordsKept while needed to document the account’s permission and agreement; deleted with the associated account.
Application support audit recordsRemoved within 30 days, or when the associated customer or learner account is deleted, whichever comes first.
Database recovery backupsKept on a seven-day rolling cycle. Deleted information can remain in a restricted backup until that backup expires; it is not available through the app.

Deleting an adult account also deletes the managed learners and learning spaces identified in the confirmation. Removing information from the app does not clear cookies on your device, copies you downloaded, or copies already provided to your school.

Infrastructure providers also keep technical, security, and delivery records under their retention policies. These are separate from saved learner work. Contact us if you need help with a provider-related deletion request. Support messages you send to info@argolearn.com are handled separately from in-app account deletion; you may request their deletion there.

Where a specific law requires preservation, we restrict the retained information to that purpose and delete it when the requirement ends. If we restore a recovery backup, we must reapply account deletions before returning the restored data to service. School agreements may require earlier deletion.

We do not store website-help conversation text in our database or application logs. We keep hashed browser/network identifiers, request times, and usage receipts for seven days, removed by automated maintenance, and monthly aggregate spending totals for up to 13 months. Recovery backups follow the seven-day cycle above. We disable OpenAI response storage; OpenAI may retain API content in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, or longer where legally required. See OpenAI’s API data controls.

6. Your choices and requests

Adults can update available profile information and manage learners through their account. Contact us to request access, correction, a copy, or deletion of information that cannot be managed there. We may request information reasonably needed to verify your identity and authority. Do not email passwords or learner PINs.

We handle requests under applicable privacy law and do not penalize users for exercising their privacy rights. School education-record requests may need to be handled with the school. Required account, recovery, and security messages are part of providing the account.

7. Security and policy changes

We use HTTPS, authentication, account-level access restrictions, and restricted administrative access to protect information. No online service can guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.

We will post changes with a new effective date and notify adults of material changes. Before materially changing how children's information is collected, used, or disclosed, we will provide any required direct notice and obtain any required renewed consent. Continued use alone does not replace that consent.
