Yes. Creating your family account is 100% free, and we never ask for a credit card to sign up. The first 5 lessons of every subject are completely free, in every grade: the videos, quizzes, games, hands-on activities and rewards. When your family is ready for more, choose a membership from your dashboard. If not, simply stop: there’s nothing to cancel.
Is ArgoLearn a complete homeschool curriculum?
Yes. Every grade from Kindergarten to Grade 8 has Math, Reading & Writing, Science and Social Studies, with 180 lessons in each subject: one lesson a day for a full school year. Use all four subjects, or only the ones you need.
Can ArgoLearn replace our curriculum?
Yes. ArgoLearn is a complete curriculum for Math, Reading & Writing, Science and Social Studies, from Kindergarten to Grade 8. Each subject is a full school year of 180 lessons, already in order, with the teaching, the practice, the quizzes, the grading and the records. How much time does it take each day?
One lesson per subject a day: a video that teaches one idea, short quizzes graded for you, and on many days a workbook page or a hands-on activity. Your child goes at their own pace, and you can pause any time.
How much screen time is it?
Less than most online programs. Each lesson has one video that teaches one idea and then ends: no autoplay into the next one, no endless feed. One lesson in every three has no video at all, and the workbook pages, hands-on activities and experiments all happen off the screen.
What happens when my child gets stuck?
Every quiz question gets a second try, then a clear explanation of the right answer, and your child can rewatch the lesson any time. You see every quiz score in your dashboard, so you know exactly which lesson to sit down and do together, and each lesson’s grown-up notes explain its big idea in plain English.
Do I have to teach the lessons myself?
No. The videos teach, the quizzes check understanding and the games give practice. Be as involved as you like: watch together, read the grown-up notes for each lesson, and see results in your dashboard.
Can we start with just one subject?
Yes. Every subject stands on its own, so you can start with the one that needs a change, then bring in the others when you’re ready.
Is ArgoLearn secular or faith-based?
ArgoLearn is secular: it teaches Math, Reading & Writing, Science and Social Studies, and it doesn’t teach any religion. It’s made to welcome every family, and families of faith use it alongside the faith teaching they do at home. Lessons stay on the subject, celebrate kindness and fairness, and leave out today’s political debates. Science follows national science standards, and you can see every lesson of the year from your parent dashboard.
My child is ahead in math but behind in reading. Is that okay?
Yes. You choose each child’s level for each subject separately, and you can change it at any time. Their saved progress stays with them.
Do we need the workbooks?
No. Every lesson is complete online. The workbooks are an optional companion for families who want time on paper: one page for each lesson, in print or as an eBook, with a grown-up guide for every topic.
Is ArgoLearn accredited?
Accreditation is for schools, not curriculum. No homeschool curriculum can be accredited on its own, and no U.S. state requires homeschool families to use an accredited program, so you are free to choose the curriculum that fits your child. The better question is whether a curriculum teaches what your child needs to learn, and whether you can show it. ArgoLearn does both: every lesson is aligned to state standards and names the standards it teaches, and every lesson and quiz score is kept in records you can print for your portfolio or your state’s homeschool requirements. Can I teach several children at different grades?
Yes. One family account holds several children, and each child has their own sign-in, grade levels, lessons and progress.
Does my child need an email address?
No. A parent creates the family account and sets up each child. Children sign in with a username, a PIN and a secret picture.
What devices work best?
A laptop, desktop or tablet with a web browser. A bigger screen gives the videos and activities more room. Grown-ups can check progress from a phone.
